Why YOUth Matter in Canada-China Relations 

The CCYPN team and the International Devleopment Week / Semaine du développement international Committee at the University of Ottawa were proud to bring “Why YOUth Matter in Canada-China Relations,” a panel discussion examining how young Canadians can advance Canada-China relationships through the lens of education, climate change and free trade. 
The event took place on January 24th, 2018 at Tabareh Hall – University of Ottawa with panelists Susan Gregson (Former Assistant Deputy Minister for Asia Pacific at Global Affairs Canada); Dominique Souris (Co-Founder and Executive of the Youth Climate Lab) and Thomas Liu (Vice President of Policy and Academic & Co-Founder of CCYPN). It was an evening filled with much wisdom and great insights. . 

Innovation and Artificial Intelligence in China : Implications for the Canadian Economy 


On March 20, 2017, CCYPN hosted the speaker event, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence in China: Implications for the Canadian Economy , with guest speaker Sophie Chen – Market Director for the Asia-Pacific region at Invest Ottawa. In the discussion centered on opportunities for collaboration between Canada-China on AI, Sophie motivated young professionals on how innovation could be seen in their everyday lives leading to sparked interest among the audience. We thank University of Ottawa and the Carleton Graduate Student Association for their support.
